Tous Les Jours is doubling down south of the river.
The French-Asian bakery chain, which sells breads, cakes and pastries as well as coffee and tea, has a new location in the works at 4537 Commonwealth Centre Parkway in Chesterfield, according to a recently filed building permit.
Tous Les Jours would operate out of the building also home to retailer Uptown Cheapskate and close to the Target near Brandermill. The bakery’s 4,500-square-foot space was formerly occupied by thrift store Kid to Kid, which relocated about a year ago to Courthouse Road.
It’ll be at least the second Tous Les Jours in Chesterfield, adding to a location that’s under construction in a former car dealership at 7401 Midlothian Turnpike near the Chippenham Parkway interchange. That property is next to the New Grand Mart-anchored Chippenham Square shopping center.
Opening dates for the Tous Les Jours locations weren’t available. The company was unable to respond to a request for comment Friday.
Those Chesterfield locations would add to Tous Les Jours’ only other local outpost, which is within the Lotte Plaza Market in western Henrico.
Tous Les Jours is owned by Seoul-based conglomerate CJ Group. The first Tous Les Jours opened in South Korea in 1997, and the first U.S. bakery opened in 2004. The company says it has more than 200 locations in the United States.
