A 15-year-old was shot and killed after an argument at a gas station in Philadelphia‘s Port Richmond neighborhood on Halloween night.
The shooting occurred at around 6:50 p.m. at a Sunoco gas station at the intersection of Richmond Street and Castor Avenue.
The teen was with a group of other teens when he got into an argument with a 40-year-old man, Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace said.
At some point, the 40-year-old pulled out a gun and shot the teen once in the back. The teen then ran down Richmond Street and then collapsed.
The teen’s friends and two good Samaritans who happened to be in the area tried to render aid, but the teen was pronounced dead at the hospital at 7:06 p.m.
The unidentified 40-year-old man was taken into custody shortly after the shooting and a weapon was recovered, according to Pace.
